The other night, TLC had a show on called World Trade Center: Anatomy of the Collapse. I was of mixed feelings about watching this show, but I decided to watch it anyway. I have always been interested in shows like this, where they explain what causes things like this to happen.
It was sort of like pulling a scab off a wound and finding that it's still a little raw underneath. I've been careful up till now to not watch the videos of it happening, so seeing it again after the last couple of months was painful... it still brought tears to my eyes. However, in a way, it was a healing experience for me as well.
I'd recommend that you watch this show. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the buildings and the design process that they went through. It was also sad to watch the designer of the buildings as he discussed them... you could see how devastated he felt about the buildings collapsing. The show settled my morbid curiosity as to why the buildings collapsed at all.
